Heritage Village
Conducted historical and audience research to create recommendations for redesign of museum space. Built bibliography of secondary and primary sources, located supplemental archives, and created a comprehensive timeline. Scripted text for exhibit and designed levels of interpretation for audience engagement.
Smarthistory
Consulted on historical content and educational materials for Seeing America, a project that examines U.S. history through visual art. Participated in a workshop with curators and educators from more than twenty museums to select artworks; reviewed educational supplements; fact-checked video and written content; and wrote contextual articles.
Wildlife Conservation Society
Participated in a week-long consultation and archive dive at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo funded by a National Endowment for the Humanities grant directed to explore the site's history and influence in the national wildlife conservation movement.
Marineland, FL
Collaborated with archives of Marineland, Florida to digitize key documents and photographs from the institution's history. Organized and trained student workers; collected oral history; and built public digital archive, virtual exhibit, and educational supplements. Supported by grants from Florida Humanities and St. Augustine Foundation.
Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park
Worked with Nancy Moses Consulting to build recommendations for a museum honoring Thomas Edison at his Menlo Park laboratory location--even though the lab itself was no longer there. Collaborated on a series of community focus groups that served as the main basis of the recommendations that led to the current museum.
The Papers of Thomas A. Edison
Transcribed archival documents, researched their contents, and wrote annotations for the print and digital editions covering 1883 - 1884.
City of Hoboken, NJ
Interviewed artists and wrote labels for exhibit to celebrate the city of Hoboken's sesquicentennial.
American Museum of Natural History
Researched the provenance of African mask collection and wrote educational materials on Pacific Northwest Coast artifacts for hands-on Discovery Room.
Brooklyn Museum of Art
Researched object provenance and historical context for exhibit: "Enduring Heritage: Art of the Northwest Coast" (2004-2008). Participated in NAGPRA meeting with visiting artists.

Copy-edited text for Frank Lloyd Wright website to accompany the documentary film.
Florida Historical Markers Program
Worked with City of St. Augustine historic preservation office to survey signage throughout St. Johns County. Coordinated volunteers and performed site visits to assess content, quality, and preservation concerns.

As a historic preservation board member collaborated with the city to preserve historic structures and wrote a state historic register nomination.
